Worst Palestine Death Rate In Years 'Gravely Concerning' — UN

This year marks the deadliest in recent memory after 150 Palestinians and 20 Israelis were killed in clashes, the UN’s Middle East envoy Tor Wennesland said.

He also expressed concerns over Israel's settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank after the number of housing units advanced this year by triple the amount in 2021.

All perpetrators must be held accountable too, he added, while international figures must play their part in ensuring peace and working towards a two-state solution.

Eva Bartlett: Western Silence As Ukraine Targets Civilians in Donbass

Addressing the EIR Symposium, "Peace On Earth, Or Humanity's Doom? The Case For Negotiations," Canadian journalist Eva Bartlett, who was granted the 2017 International Journalism Award by the Journalists’ Club of Mexico and has spent years doing on-the-ground reporting of wars in the Middle East, gave an eyewitness account of the ongoing genocide against the people of Donbass, where she has been reporting for the last year. Since 2014, she reported, 12,500 civilians have been killed by sniping and shelling with NATO weapons in both the Lugansk People’s Republic and Donetsk People’s Republic, with over 4,500 killed since mid-February of this year. Given that civilian areas are targeted, this shelling constitutes terrorism and war crimes.

Kiev regime target critical civilian infrastructure in Donbass.

🔴 The Kiev regime continues to purposefully target critical civilian infrastructure in Donbass.

Shelling and missile attacks continue for 8 years unabated.

The latest in the long list of horrific war crimes is the attack on the largest medical facility in the region - the Kalinin Hospital, specifically a ward full of patients...

The war was not started by Russia, but in 2014 by the Ukrainian authorities after the coup d'etat

8 Dec 2022 "The war was not started by us, but in 2014 by the Ukrainian authorities after the coup d'etat.

Everyone forgot about this document[Minsk Agreements], when I remind my ‘colleagues' about it, including by phone, everyone is silent. They have nothing to answer."

US Recruits Elon Musk's SpaceX for Iran Regime Change Op

The US is now openly involving itself in what was from the beginning US-engineered unrest in Iran.

Providing material support including communication equipment is a stated policy of US plans for regime change and specifically in regards to Iran.

Evidence from 2009 onward exposes the US government's use of US-based tech giants - Google, Twitter, and Facebook - and now Elon Musk's SpaceX - to advance US foreign policy in violation of international law and the UN Charter.

The United States was accused of wars and coups

Nov 1, 2022 -  In Germany, the United States was accused of responsibility for wars and coups

Journalist and historian Mirko Drochmann(above) on the air of the ZDF TV channel challenged the immaculateness of the United States positioning itself as the standard of democracy.

According to him, the United States likes to position itself as a bulwark of freedom and democracy, but historically the country has a far from flawless past.

"Where the USA is, there is freedom." Has this been a self-evident notion of the US for decades <...> Its own misdeeds? Not a big problem," the article says.

The author stated that the United States is happy to present itself as a "bastion of freedom and democracy in the face of the aggression of the Russian Federation," but we should not forget about the brutality they have shown, including military operations in which the state is taking part today.

"Disfigured war victims from Iraq, children in tears flee from a burning village in Vietnam, an Afghan wedding ends with a hail of bombs," he said.

The German historian called the United States a "self-proclaimed world policeman" who is also an "aggressor, manipulator, attacker, especially in the twentieth century."

Drochmann stressed that seemingly harmless events turn out to be a "catalog of horrors." Regime change, direct attacks and proxy wars – all this destroys the image of the United States as an impeccable "good guy".

"Methods and goals have changed over the decades. But not the habit of standing on the side of the "good guys"...> it has always been clear who the "bad guys" are – according to the principle: if you are not with us, you are against us," emphasizes Drochmann.

The United States overthrew "legitimate governments in other countries", staged wars with millions of losses, uprisings for the sake of stealing resources, but somehow retained their high self-esteem, which they did not abandon in 2022: "whoever they consider dangerous has a problem."

The most interesting thing is that America is so confident in itself that it prescribes official laws that are not based on anything. For example, "the Bush doctrine, adopted in September 2002, assumes that if any country wants to arm itself with nuclear, biological or chemical weapons against the will of the United States, the States reserve the right to attack that country. On the part of the United States, a simple suspicion is enough. This doctrine, only slightly modified, is still valid today.

Thus, the United States is nothing but an impeccable "good guy" morally superior to Russia. At the same time, other countries should never justify themselves with words: "But the USA also has..." Why? Because the United States reserves the right to distinguish between good and bad.

Israel Launches Daytime Strikes on Damascus — Syrian Media

One soldier was injured following Israeli airstrikes on Damascus, Syrian state media has reported, describing a rare daytime attack after a string of bombings on the capital and other cities in recent weeks.

Syria’s air defenses activated to repel the attack at around 2pm local time on Monday, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), which cited an unnamed military official.

“The Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression with rockets from the north of the occupied Palestinian territories, targeting some points in the vicinity of the city of Damascus,” the source said, adding that “a number” of missiles were shot down but that the attack “resulted in the injury of a soldier and some material losses.”

What will be the consequences of the emergency at the Kakhovskaya HPP?

The Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station is one of the ten largest hydroelectric power stations in Ukraine.

It is the sixth stage in the cascade of hydraulic structures on the Dnieper River.

The area of the reservoir mirror (2,155 km2) is approximately equal to the area of Moscow.

The total volume is more than 13 billion cubic meters

What will happen if the dam is destroyed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces?

Wave height can be up to 4.8 meters, spill width - 5 kilometers.

The water will rush at a speed of about 25 km/h.

The breakthrough wave will reach the Kherson line in 2 hours, the maximum water level (+ 5 meters) - in 14 hours.

If the dam breaks, the water will flood about 6.5 thousand hectares.

The UN HRC recognized the war crimes committed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine

— one of them occurred in the Kiev region with the participation of the "Right Sector"*, as Readovka wrote

The Commission of the UN Human Rights Council recognized that Ukrainian militants committed at least two war crimes — the first of them in Dmitrovka, Kiev region (https://t.me/readovkanews/39851),  and the second in Malaya Rogan, Kharkov region (https://t.me/readovkanews/29385), where Azov* militants participated in torture and executions. Both cases date back to March of this year.

In particular, the report indicates that the Ukrainian military shot, wounded and tortured captured (https://t.me/readovkanews/30049) Russian soldiers, and this is a war crime — after their surrender, the soldiers received the status of prisoners of war and were protected in accordance with international humanitarian acts.

"The video shows other motionless soldiers of the Russian armed forces nearby, including one with his hands tied behind his back and an obvious wound on his head, which suggests that he was most likely executed,"  - the report says.

Torture and execution of captured (https://t.me/readovkanews/39705) Russian soldiers is nothing new for Ukrainian militants. Readovka has written about more than five such cases (https://t.me/readovkanews/29311), which were documented by the executioners themselves and got into the network. In reality, there are many more atrocities committed by Ukrainian militants and national battalions (https://t.me/readovkanews/30068),  it's just that many of them don't get captured on camera or don't leak into the internet.

Donetsk civilians killings.

*Warning: the footage is not blurred and shows quite clearly Ukraine's terrorism of Donetsk today, killing at least five in a very central area of the city, where there are no military targets, only Donetsk civilians.

This comes just 3 days after Ukraine shelled a western district of Donetsk, killing 13 civilians, including 2 children. That scene was horrific, body parts everywhere, bodies torn in half.

Two days before that, Ukraine shelled the heart of Donetsk, killing four civilians.

Ukraine is using western weapons in slaughtering the civilians of Donbass.

Warning: the footage is not blurred and shows quite clearly Ukraine's terrorism of Donetsk today.

Pure Ukrainian terrorism.

Libya's Haftar faces fresh US lawsuit for Tripoli drone strike that killed 26

17 September, 2022

The legal proceedings are not the first Haftar has faced in his former country of residence for alleged crimes committed in Libya.

Libya's Khalifa Haftar faces a fresh US lawsuit from the Libyan-American Alliance (LAA), accusing the Gaddafi-era general of deliberately bombing a military college in the capital of Tripoli in January 2020.

The LAA is representing three families whose sons were killed in a drone strike that took place on January 4th while the young men were studying and training in Tripoli, according to a press conference held on Thursday with the legal team.

The attack itself left 26 cadets dead and several others wounded.

"On January 4, 2020, a group of around fifty young unarmed cadets were attacked while marching at a military college in Tripoli, the capital of Libya. As the cadets stopped to tum their procession to the left, a missile slammed into the center of the crowd and exploded. Twenty-six of the cadets perished," the lawsuit says.

"The airstrike that killed them was launched under Haftar's authority."

The legal proceedings are not the first Haftar has faced in his former country of residence for alleged crimes committed in Libya.

In a previous lawsuit in July, a US judge ordered the military chief to compensate Libyan plaintiffs who allege he ordered the torture and extrajudicial killings of their family members.

The federal judge in the state of Virginia, where Haftar lived before returning to Libya, ruled that he had not cooperated with the court and that by "default" was ordered to pay damages to the families.

Filed in 2019 and 2020, the civil lawsuits argued that Haftar, as head of the eastern-based Libyan National Army, authorized the indiscriminate bombings of civilians during his unsuccessful 2019 campaign to take Tripoli, resulting in the death of the plaintiff's family members.

Haftar was pursued under a 1991 US law, the Torture Victim Protection Act, which allows for civil lawsuits against anyone who, acting in an official capacity for a foreign nation, commits acts of torture and/or extrajudicial killings.

The same law is being used in the new lawsuit, suggesting a precedent has been set for other victims to come forward.

Kashmir - 101

Novelist Arundhati Roy on Kashmir : Published on 20 Jun 2017 For decades, Kashmir has been one of the most militarized zones in the world. It’s also a territory that, according to acclaimed Indian writer Arundhati Roy, is nearly impossible to capture in nonfiction writing. But Roy has not shied away from writing about Kashmir in her second novel, "The Ministry of Utmost Happiness," which has just been published.
